Cedric Johnson brings SEC-tested disruption, but he’s not a Charleston Southern DB
Cedric Johnson is listed in current sources as a Cincinnati Bengals defensive end and former Ole Miss edge rusher, not a Charleston Southern Buccaneers defensive back, so the matchup data for a CSU DB isn’t available here. In his 2023 season at Ole Miss, he posted 40 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and 3 passes defended, which points to a disruptive, physical defender with real backfield instincts. If you’re evaluating him as a prospect, the appeal is his length, burst, and knack for affecting plays behind the line rather than pure coverage-only polish.
