Young, physical Huskies tight end with real in-line upside
Austin Simmons is a redshirt freshman tight end for Washington who arrived in 2025 and quickly earned game action, a good sign for a young player in a veteran-heavy room. At 6-foot-5 and around 245-251 pounds, he brings a big-frame target with receiver-like movement from high school, but the buzz is about his physicality and projection as a true in-line TE. In 2024, he was a three-star recruit and a top-70 tight end nationally, and observers see a player who may need polish but fits a power-leaning, developmental TE pipeline.
