Experienced Oakland Guard with a Defensive Edge
Emmanuel Newsome is a veteran, low-usage guard for Oakland whose value comes more from steady execution than gaudy box scores; in the 2022-23 season at Union, he averaged 2.4 points, 1.7 rebounds, 13 assists, and 9 steals, while his Oakland years showed a defensive, hustle-first profile and a track record of earning minutes through toughness and familiarity with the system. He looks like a fit for teams needing a disciplined backcourt connector, not a high-volume scorer.
