Marcus Jones brings veteran DB versatility and special-teams juice for Minnesota
Marcus Jones enters 2026 as a senior defensive back for Minnesota, valued more for his versatility and field awareness than raw splashy numbers; the Gophers roster lists him at DB and the program’s long-standing DB/returner usage hints at a role built on reliability, toughness, and hidden-yardage value. His fit is best for a team that wants an experienced, assignment-sound defender who can handle multiple duties and give strong special-teams snaps, though current public stat detail for his 2026 production is limited.
