Jaime Cooper gives Miami (OH) a low-usage, steady backcourt piece with room to grow
In the 2024-25 season, Miami (OH) guard Mekhi Cooper was a rotation-level contributor rather than a volume producer, posting 5.9 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.5 rebounds per game while shooting 38.8% from three, a profile that suggests a connector who can defend, keep the offense organized, and hit open looks rather than dominate the ball. He looks like a fit for teams that value steadiness, pace control, and unselfish play over flashy isolation scoring.
