low-usage Mercer guard with steady floor-game value
Rivera has been a low-minute, low-usage guard for Mercer, posting 2.4 points and 0.9 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per game in the 2022-23 season, and ESPN currently lists him at 1.7 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.9 assists in limited action. The appeal is not volume scoring; it’s a compact guard who can contribute as a connector, with enough court feel to keep an offense organized when he’s on the floor. If you need a role player who can fit without demanding touches, he’s worth a look—but he profiles more as depth than a clear impact starter.
