veteran Memphis DB with SEC-level toughness and steady secondary value
Joe Norwood brings veteran edge, physicality, and proven special-teams/secondary reliability to Memphis. In the 2023 season, the redshirt senior was listed at 5-11, 190 pounds and appeared in all 13 games for a 10-3 Tigers team, part of a long career that also includes stops at Massachusetts and New Mexico Military Institute. His value is less flash and more trust: compact frame, experience, and a reputation for showing up wherever the staff needs him. If your team wants a seasoned, plug-in defensive back who understands structure and won’t blink in traffic, he’s the kind of glue guy coaches love.
