little current data, but The Citadel lists a deep tight end room
Charles Barney does not appear in the current Citadel roster data surfaced here, so there isn’t enough verified 2026 production to judge his on-field form. The clearest takeaway is roster context: The Citadel’s tight end room includes multiple options, which suggests Barney would need to separate himself with blocking reliability, toughness, and special-teams value to earn snaps. If he is on the path to the field, the fit likely hinges on physicality and assignment discipline rather than flashy stats.
