Left-Handed Upside, but Health Is the Big Swing Factor
Tyler Dobbs is a junior left-handed pitcher at UTSA who already showed AAC-level promise in 2024 at Wichita State, going 6-4 with a 4.55 ERA in 57.1 innings, 46 strikeouts, and an AAC All-Freshman Team nod. He’s a good fit for a team that values strike-throwing lefties with swing-and-miss flashes and competitive poise, but the key question is availability: UTSA noted in spring 2026 that he was recovering from an injury. He also brings an academic green flag, earning 2025-26 American Conference All-Academic honors.
