Troy Nienberg brings veteran Michigan leg strength and reliability
Troy Nienberg is a fifth-year Michigan place kicker with an experienced, proven profile: in the 2002 season, he was listed by Michigan with 14 extra points on 15 tries and 2 field goals on 5 attempts, showing dependable conversion work in scoring situations[3][6]. He’s a compact 6-foot-2, 167-pound specialist from Glandorf, Ohio, and the appeal here is steadiness more than flash—an older, seasoned kicker who gives a staff a sense of trust in pressure moments[3]. If you want a calm, assignment-sure specialist, he fits; if you want a high-ceiling long-distance bomber, the available profile doesn’t scream that.
