Maryland’s veteran linebacker with Terp toughness and leadership chops
Alex Schultz is a former Maryland linebacker who stood out more for toughness, football IQ, and persistence than flashy stat lines; he returned to his hometown program and later pursued a medical career, which speaks to the discipline and maturity coaches love. He’s the kind of player who fits best in a program that values reliability, effort, and a high-floor team-first mentality over pure highlight-reel explosiveness.
