Gaej Walker brings veteran backfield toughness to Western Illinois
Gaej Walker is a seasoned, physical running back who has already shown he can handle a heavy workload, including a standout 2019 season at Western Kentucky when he logged 241 carries for 1,208 yards and seven 100-yard games. He’s a one-cut, every-down style back with real durability and a proven feel for volume, which matters if a staff wants reliability over splash. The big question is current form and usage at Western Illinois, but the résumé says he fits a team that wants an experienced, downhill runner who can stabilize the offense.
