Former Weber State linebacker with a short but active freshman debut
In his 2012 freshman season at Weber State, Penitito Melei appeared in three games and logged four total tackles, including three against Cal Poly, which suggests a young linebacker who earned rotational snaps and showed early tackling ability.[1] At 6-foot-1 and 215 pounds, he had the frame for the position, and Weber State listed him as a linebacker from Wahiawa, Hawaii, with a psychology major—details that hint at a grounded, disciplined profile rather than a stats-only prospect.[1] He is a fit for teams valuing depth, effort, and developmental upside more than instant star power.[1]
