Chaz Richards is a dependable depth linebacker with special-teams grit for Southern Miss
Chaz Richards enters the 2026 season as a redshirt senior at Southern Miss, listed at 5-11, 229 pounds, and valued as depth at middle linebacker with heavy special-teams usage[1]. His calling card is reliability: the staff describes him as a hard worker with a great attitude, and he’s already earned meaningful game experience, mostly on special teams, which usually means coaches trust him to do the little things right[1]. He’s the kind of glue-piece LB who fits teams that want effort, toughness, and maturity over flash.
