Amie Williams brings classic paint protection and elite rim deterrence to Jackson State
Amie Williams is a throwback center whose calling card is defense, rebounding, and shot-blocking; in the 2003-04 season, she led the SWAC in blocks at 4.22 per game and was named Defensive Player of the Year, while also posting 15 double-doubles and topping 1,000 career points[3]. She’s the kind of interior anchor who changes how opponents attack the rim, and her profile suggests a high-motor, physical presence that teams value when they need toughness, paint control, and an old-school defensive tone[2][3].
