VMI’s experienced, assignment-sound linebacker with game reps
Montrell Stanley is a veteran VMI linebacker whose value is built on experience, durability, and steady availability rather than flashy box-score numbers; he was listed as a redshirt junior in 2021 and a redshirt junior again on VMI’s 2022 roster, and he saw action in 2022 after making his season debut at Furman. For a team, that profile signals a dependable, scheme-aware defender who should understand leverage, fits, and special-teams tempo—useful if you want a low-drama, coachable add who can keep the defense organized.
