Julian Cox brings veteran linebacker juice for Albany
Julian Cox is a seasoned Albany linebacker known for active tackle production and disruptive instincts, with past Albany seasons showing impact plays like 41 tackles, a forced fumble, and 0.5 sacks in 2016, plus a 10-tackle outing against Villanova in 2015. His calling card is downhill urgency, physicality, and a knack for showing up around the ball—traits that translate well if a defense wants an instinctive, assignment-sound enforcer. The biggest caveat is age/context: his most clearly documented Albany production is from earlier seasons, so he profiles more as a reference point for veteran production than a current stat-sheet riser.
