Michael Hurns brings veteran linebacker instincts and proven SWAC production to Alcorn State
Michael Hurns is a polished, high-IQ linebacker who has already shown he can produce at the FCS level, including a strong 2015 season with 27 solo tackles, 18 assists, 6.0 tackles for loss and 3 sacks; Alcorn State also noted his leadership and character, calling him a three-year starter and senior class president in award coverage. He stands out as a reliable, assignment-sound defender with enough disruption ability to affect the backfield, making him the kind of fit a team wants when it needs maturity, toughness and no-drama dependability.
