Illinois' Record-Shattering Long-Range Kicking Ace with NFL Pedigree
James McCourt, the Illinois Fighting Illini's all-time leader with 8 career 50+ yard field goals (including 4 in a season twice), boasts a stellar 71.2% college FG success rate (37/52) and near-perfect 98.8% on XPs (83/84) through 2021, highlighted by a 57-yard school-record tie and a 39-yard game-winner over No. 6 Wisconsin. Clutch under pressure with ice-cold accuracy on long kicks, he's now thriving in the NFL with the Raiders after a 54-yard FG for the Jaguars—proving his big-game reliability and leg strength make him a premium fit for any squad needing a dependable, battle-tested kicker.
