Veteran guard with New Mexico State roots and a clutch instinct
Marissa Maffei is a New Mexico State guard whose profile suggests a smart, steady backcourt piece with real team-first value, highlighted by her 2005-06 reserve role, WAC All-Academic recognition, and a key late three-pointer in a win over Sacramento State. What makes her interesting is the blend of academic discipline and timely shot-making rather than empty-volume production. If your team needs a dependable guard who understands spacing, can hit big shots, and won’t be rattled in pressure moments, she fits the mold nicely.
