championship guard, steady floor leader, and UConn culture fit
Doty was a reliable, defense-minded UConn guard who helped power a dynasty, starting 37 of 38 games in her 2012-13 season while averaging 5.0 points and 2.2 rebounds in 20.6 minutes per game; across her Huskies career she was part of three national title teams and five Final Fours, which speaks to her winning habits and composure under pressure.[4][7] The big differentiator is her toughness and team-first value, though her career was also shaped by injury interruptions, so the “fit” question is less about high-volume scoring and more about whether you want a steady, experienced, winning-minded guard who can organize and defend.[1][4]
