Jake Riding gives Fresno State a durable right-hander with strikeout upside
In the 2024 season at Fresno State, Jake Riding logged a 5.06 ERA with a 5-6 record and 67 strikeouts, showing he can miss bats even when the results were uneven. At 6'2", 210 pounds, the junior has the build of a workhorse RHP, and his high-school track record—1.75 ERA, four wins and 46 strikeouts in 36 innings as a senior—suggests a pitcher with real competitive bite and starter traits. He looks like a fit for teams valuing size, strikeout ability, and development runway rather than a polished finished product.
