Jeriah Hightower brings power backfield upside, but his EKU role has been limited
Hightower is a physically imposing back at 6-0, 224 and was once a standout recruit after a 3,001-yard, 33-touchdown senior season in Kentucky, where EKU praised his “explosive power,” versatility as a runner/receiver, and homegrown fit. In college, his production has been modest so far—EKU listed him with eight games played and two rushing yards in 2022, and earlier notes showed seven yards on four carries in 2020—so the intrigue is more about traits than box-score output. If a team wants a tough, downhill, high-upside depth back with local pedigree, he still makes sense.
