Hartford’s steady floor general with scoring pop and elite assist instincts
In the 2016-17 season, Deanna Mayza was the kind of guard every coach loves: a durable, high-minute playmaker who averaged 12.9 points and 5.0 assists per game while adding 63 made threes and shooting 36% from deep. Hartford’s record book backs up the eye test too—she finished with 1,222 career points, 476 assists, and 160 three-pointers, showing a rare blend of scoring, distribution, and spacing. She also earned three America East all-conference honors, which screams consistent impact and competitiveness. If you want a poised, experienced backcourt engine, she’s absolutely the type.
