Mazi Chiles brings disruptor upside to Lafayette’s defensive front
Mazi Chiles is a defensive lineman to watch because the value he brings goes beyond box-score production: for Lafayette, a DL who can consistently affect plays at the line of scrimmage is exactly the kind of tone-setter that translates to defensive toughness and downhill control. The key fit question is whether he can keep converting effort, leverage, and motor into reliable snap-to-snap disruption against stronger competition; if he can, he profiles as a high-energy, system-friendly piece who can raise the floor of a front seven.
