Indiana walk-on turned special-teams grinder with strong football IQ
Jake Zupancic was an Indiana safety and walk-on who carved out value on special teams, earning multiple scout-team and special-teams honors while winning a scholarship and Academic All-Big Ten recognition in 2012–2013. His profile reads like a coach’s favorite: dependable, physical enough to contribute in coverage, and praised for consistency, effort, and intangibles rather than flashy production. He is best viewed as a roster fit for teams that value toughness, preparation, and special-teams reliability over headline-grabbing stats.
