Shannon Washington brings size and developmental upside to WVU’s defensive front
The 2026 West Virginia senior defensive tackle is a **6'5", 285-pound** interior lineman with the frame to anchor against the run and absorb double teams, which makes him the kind of trench piece coaches value even when box-score stats are limited. His profile suggests a classic **disruptive-but-space-eating DT**: big enough to hold ground, experienced enough to be trusted in a veteran role, and intriguing as a fit for a defense that wants length and power inside. At WVU, he looks like a plug-and-play depth or rotation option with starting-caliber traits.
