experienced, undersized-but-active Drake linebacker with academic chops
Fred Epting profiles as a compact, instinctive linebacker at 5'11", 201 pounds who brings proven production and consistency to Drake. In his senior high school season, he posted 82 tackles, 2 interceptions, 3 pass breakups, and 2 sacks, and Drake also listed him as a three-time academic all-conference selection, which suggests a disciplined, coachable player with good football IQ. He is the kind of fit teams like for reliability, toughness, and all-around effort more than pure size.
