FIU Freshman Guard with High-Impact Scoring and League-Worthy Resilience
Lauryn Snipes, a freshman guard for FIU Panthers in the 2017-18 season, delivered immediate high-impact scoring, including a 15-point season-high game on 4-for-7 shooting against Gordon, showcasing her sharp shooting and clutch intensity. Differentiators include her three-time Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League First Team pedigree, two-time All-State recognition, and a personality marked by relentless competitiveness and team-first ball distribution—evident when she contributed 7 of FIU’s 9 points in a tight home win. While her field goal percentage dipped to .312 later in her career (per Indiana State stats), her early FIU intensity and injury-free resilience make her a strong fit for teams needing a versatile, high-energy guard who elevates under pressure.
