Brion Whitley gives Southern a veteran guard who can score in bursts
Whitley is a seasoned Southern guard whose value shows up in his scoring ability and shot-making upside, highlighted by a 32-point career night in 2023 and double-figure production in multiple games for the Jaguars. In his 2022-23 season, he averaged 4.4 points in 11.5 minutes, suggesting a bench guard who can provide instant offense rather than volume playmaking. He is best viewed as a compact, experienced rotation fit who can change a game with scoring bursts, though his assist numbers indicate he is more scorer than primary facilitator.
