Hector Gonzalez brings speed, energy, and upside to UMass Lowell’s outfield
Hector Gonzalez is a freshman outfielder for UMass Lowell in 2026, listed at 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds, and he already shows the kind of playable athleticism that can translate fast: he appeared in the lineup as a center fielder against Boston College on March 18, 2026 and recorded a hit, a walk, and a stolen base. His profile points to a high-motor player with game experience against quality competition in high school, and he looks like a fit for a team that values speed, hustle, and lineup flexibility over pure power.
