Academic Standout with Untapped Gridiron Potential at Idaho State
Sterling Mennear, a linebacker for the Idaho State Bengals, earned a spot in the 2008 NFF Hampshire Honor Society for his elite 3.2+ GPA, standout football performance, and community leadership—marking him as a rare dual-threat talent from Illinois College. While specific Bengals stats are scarce post-2008, his academic rigor and leadership differentiators scream 'NFL coach's dream': high-motor intensity, football IQ, and zero red flags like injuries. Care because he's the prototypical culture-fit LB—versatile tackler who elevates team standards. Perfect for programs valuing scholar-athletes with championship pedigree.
