Gavin Baldwin brought serious middle-of-the-order pop to NIU in 2026
In the 2026 season, Gavin Baldwin was NIU’s power engine, starting all 55 games at first base and leading the Huskies with 17 home runs, the third-most in a single season in program history. He also posted a .267/.380/.567 line with 61 RBI, earned MAC All-Tournament Team honors, and was named a preseason Top 50 first baseman by D1Baseball. The calling card is obvious: real right-handed thump, run-production, and durability. If you want a bat that can change a game with one swing, Baldwin checks that box.
