Tia Benvenuti brings steady guard play and veteran poise to Mercer
Benvenuti is a dependable Mercer guard whose value shows up in all-around floor play: in the listed season, ESPN credits her with 3.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, while Mercer’s roster notes she battled through an early-season injury as a freshman and still carved out a rotation role.[1][6] At 5-foot-9, she profiles as a smart, composed connector more than a pure volume scorer, which makes her appealing for a team needing toughness, decision-making, and a player who can stay engaged when the box score is quiet.[1][6]
