Zachary Barnes brings veteran guard savvy to Mississippi Valley State
Barnes is a 6-foot-1 guard from Jackson, Mississippi, who has long been valued for his steady backcourt experience rather than flashy volume scoring; in the 2019-20 season he appeared in 25 games with one start and shot just under 30% from three across his Delta Devils career, with a career-best five made threes in a game. He looks like a fit for a team needing a mature, low-drama guard who can space the floor, understand his role, and provide depth with a blue-collar edge.
