Sean Johns brings length, power, and steady rotational upside to JMU’s defensive front
Sean Johns is a 6-foot-3, 272-pound redshirt junior defensive lineman for James Madison in the 2026 season, and he looks like a sturdy, physically mature piece on the Dukes’ front line. His appeal is the classic DL combo: size, leverage, and the ability to hold ground while flashing enough activity to contribute in rotation. He’s not a headline-grabber on raw production, but he fits the profile of a dependable interior defender who can help a team get tougher up front. If you want trench grit with developmental upside, Johns is worth a look.
