Stephen Scott is ETSU’s tone-setter at linebacker
Stephen Scott has been a disruptive, physical presence for ETSU, with a signature moment in the 2021 season when he returned a fumble 27 yards for a touchdown against Vanderbilt[7][12]. In the 2023 season, he tied a career high with 12 tackles against Mercer and logged multiple double-digit tackle games, underscoring his range, instincts, and willingness to play downhill[11]. ETSU’s roster notes list him at 5-foot-11 and around 228 pounds in the 2023 season, and outside coverage has described him as the defense’s field general, which fits the tape: instinctive, tough, and a reliable fit for a team needing an aggressive communicator in the middle[1][10].
