David Alston brings veteran edge and disruptive-play upside to Montana State
In the 2023 season, David Alston was a durable, high-motor defensive end for Montana State, playing in all 12 games and flashing impact with a sack against Northern Arizona and an interception versus Utah Tech. He’s a 6-4, 257-pound senior who fits the classic “hard to block, harder to ignore” mold: long, physical, and valuable in a rotation that asks him to set the edge and create negative plays. The biggest selling point is his experience and knack for timely disruption, though his 2022 injury history is worth noting when projecting weekly availability.
