David Matlock brings veteran grit to FAU’s offensive line
David Matlock is a redshirt senior OL for Florida Atlantic, listed at 6-3, and his profile points to a veteran, battle-tested lineman whose value is steadiness more than splash plays[1]. The standout trait here is durability and toughness: FAU’s roster notes say he started his 13th game of the season while banged up, which is exactly the kind of “you want him in your foxhole” trait coaches love[1]. That makes him appealing for a team needing experience, reliability, and a player who can grind through physical weeks rather than flash in headlines[1].
