Walk-On Guard With Grit and Defensive Edge for San Diego State
Emmanuel Wilson is noteworthy as a former walk-on who earned his spot through tryouts, which points to resilience, coachability, and a hard-nosed compete level that fits San Diego State’s identity. His value is less about flashy scoring and more about doing the dirty work, bringing toughness, intensity, and reliability in a program that prizes defense and accountability. For a team looking for a steady, effort-first guard who can embrace a role and elevate the floor, Wilson is the kind of glue player worth watching.
