Utah State’s steady leg: Jakubiak brings clutch kickoff and field-goal value
Jarrod Jakubiak is best known for being a reliable special-teams piece at Utah State, and in the 2004 season he made 4 of 5 field goals and all 8 extra-point tries while also handling kickoffs, including a 57.6-yard average in one game log. He’s the kind of kicker who earned trust through consistency, not flash, and Utah State’s own coverage noted he was in the mix as a returning placekicker entering the next season. If your team wants a calm, dependable specialist rather than a high-drama highlight reel, Jakubiak fits the bill.
