Matt Gaca brings veteran linebacker depth to UIW’s front seven
Matt Gaca is a senior-leaning, experience-backed linebacker for UIW who profiles as a steady, assignment-sound defender rather than a flashy stat-chaser. In the 2019 season, he played 10 games and made 15 total tackles at Incarnate Word before later moving on to Tennessee, and his current UIW roster presence suggests a useful depth piece with college-tested instincts and physicality. He fits best with a team that values toughness, reliability, and special-teams-ready role players over highlight-reel production.
