Deyjhon Pettaway brings track-speed and sticky cover skills to Texas A&M’s secondary
Pettaway is a fast-rising Texas A&M corner with elite burst, reported 93 speed and 97 acceleration in EA’s 2026 ratings, plus the ball skills and hip fluidity that show up in both recruiting evaluations and track results. He was a 4-star recruit, ranked among Texas’s top defenders, and his high-school production included 80 tackles, four pass breakups and an interception as a junior, then 26 tackles, a TFL, an INT and a fumble recovery as a sophomore. He looks like a fit for teams wanting a competitive, press-capable CB who can run with receivers and recover quickly.
