Lafayette lefty Trace Florio brings proven strikeout upside, but 2026 results have been rough early
Trace Florio is a left-handed starter for Lafayette who has shown real swing-and-miss ability in college—most notably 56 strikeouts in 60.1 innings across 13 appearances in 2025—but his 2026 sample has been rocky, including a 1.1-inning outing in which he allowed five runs and the early-season stats shown are very limited. The differentiator is his track record of handling a starter’s workload and missing bats, which matters for teams valuing projection; at the same time, his profile suggests he’s more of a developmental arm than an instant plug-and-play answer right now.
