Tennessee DL Who Transitioned from Gridiron to Gridiron Development Guru
Maurese Smith, a 6'2", 305-pound defensive lineman from Tennessee Volunteers (class of 2018-2021), appeared in just eight career games with no recorded stats in available 2017-2018 seasons per UTSports and ESPN, marking him as a developmental depth piece rather than a stat leader. Post-playing career, he's now Director of Football Player Development at Alabama State (first year noted), leveraging his SEC Academic Honor Roll experience and Hazel Green HS captaincy for leadership strengths. Care if you need a gritty, high-character mentor—perfect fit for team-building roles, not frontline snaps.
