Vernon McCarthy is a deep-bench ULM guard still fighting for a footprint
In the latest available ULM season stat sheet, Vernon McCarthy is listed on the roster but has not recorded meaningful statistical production, which suggests he’s more of a developmental piece than a proven rotation driver. That makes his profile more about projection than box-score fireworks: if he earns minutes, the question is whether he can bring defensive energy, pace, and steady guard play rather than headline scoring. For a team, he’s a fit if you want upside and depth; for instant impact, the current evidence says patience is the name of the game.
