veteran Sooners WR with proven hands, but an old Oklahoma name to verify
Derrick Woods is listed as an Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver, but the available data strongly points to a 2012-14 OU career rather than a current 2026 roster piece, so double-check identity before using him in any modern evaluation. In the 2013 season, he logged 2 catches for 29 yards for Oklahoma, and earlier team notes described him as a player with enough trust to get on the field, even if the production was modest. The big takeaway: he’s more of a historical depth-chart name than a current impact profile, so he’s not an obvious fit for a team seeking an active playmaker right now.
