Mike Purcell brings big-body versatility and veteran stability to Maryland’s offensive line
Purcell is a graduate-student OL for Maryland in 2026, listed at 6-4, 325, with a proven center background from Elon and a résumé that includes 22 starts and Second Team All-CAA honors in 2022. His biggest differentiators are experience, interior versatility, and heavy-duty size—he’s the kind of old-school, lunch-pail blocker who can help settle a front and absorb power in the run game. The fit is strongest for a team valuing maturity, line communication, and dependable trench play over upside-only traits.
