Jumbo tight end with proven red-zone value for Jacksonville State
At 6-foot-6 and 250 pounds, Gavin Ellis brings classic move-TE size and showed real value in Jacksonville State’s passing game, with 6 catches for 63 yards and a touchdown in the 2012 season after transferring from Troy. His best differentiator is simple but dangerous: length, catch radius, and enough blocking growth to stay on the field in multiple situations. He’s the kind of tight end defenses have to account for near the goal line, even when the box score stays modest.
