Colgate freshman DL Jackson Whitten brings high-motor, tackle-for-loss juice
Jackson Whitten is a 6-foot-4, 280-pound freshman defensive lineman for Colgate who arrives with eye-popping high school production and a reputation for disruption: in 2025 at Bracken County, he posted 95 tackles, 49 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks, finishing as a Defensive Player of the Year finalist and three-time captain. Colgate lists him as a tough, small-town fit with leadership traits, and his size-plus-backfield penetration upside makes him an intriguing developmental piece for a program that values rugged, relentless defenders.
